Services

Placing a Hold

  1. Perform a search from
    www.lib.de.us
  2. You will get a list of titles from the catalog
    Chose the item you are interested in by clicking on the Details button.
  3. Click on the Place Hold link on the left side of the screen to request the item.
  4. Let the system know who you are and where you wish to pick up your book.
    Type your Delaware Library Card barcode number and P.I.N. number into their fields.
    Then, choose the library from the drop down menu.
    If you logged into the system when you first started from the purple Title Bar, all you need to do is choose the library where you wish to pick the item up.
  5. Click on the Place Hold button to submit the hold.

Your hold has been placed and will be filled with the first available copy. You can now click the OK link to return to the “Details” screen.

Other Functions

You may have noticed a KEEP button, while looking at the list of results from your search. When you are logged into the system, you can keep a list of items you are interested in. To review this list, click on the KEPT link on the blue bar just below the Library Booklist link.
